Wood and Tagua Ring Handmade
Tagua and wood come together to make up this wonderful ring. An exquisite piece of Guayacán wood at the base holds a slice of Tagua seed with its full rind on the front (the white part is the interior layer of the tagua seed, the “vegetable ivory”, and the brown exterior is the rind of the tagua). A clever design that plays with geometric shape and with textures and colors in the layering of wood and tagua slice on top. Eco-fashion at its best. Being a natural product all rings differ from one another–there are no two identical pieces–making them truly unique pieces of jewelry. Our tagua rings are sustainable, organic, vegan, and biodegradable: 100% vegetable ivory (Tagua seeds). Our ring sizes are Small (7), Medium (8 to 8.5), and Large (9).

Each Tagua seed is unique, like a fingerprint, slight variations in color, shape and size are natural characteristics of all our products and should be expected. Individual uniqueness is guaranteed. When ripe, tagua seeds are harvested and dried for 6 to 9 months. After losing all their moisture they become rock solid resembling ivory in color, texture and hardness, hence their nickname: “Vegetable Ivory”. At this point the hard seeds can be polished, dyed, cut and shaped into beautiful beads that become Muichic’s natural jewelry.
